OUR Chamber Mission

The Chamber is a catalyst for the economic growth of our members and the community through education, exchanging ideas and information, sharing experiences and solutions, networking, and recognition.

North Charleston Chamber History

The North Charleston Chamber of Commerce was started in 2016 by Steve Nettles of Tax Pros Plus and Alan Thompson of Stingray Branding. During frequent meetings about various topics surrounding business in North Charleston, it was realized that there was little representation in the Charleston Metro area for North Charleston businesses. North Charleston, SC is the economic hub for the state of South Carolina and provides a significant amount of resources to the Charleston community hosting the Charleston International Airport, North Charleston Coliseum, and North Charleston Convention Center.

Steve & Alan felt that North Charleston businesses needed more resources and representation to properly grow and promote them. Thus, they launched the North Charleston Chamber of Commerce. Since inception, the Chamber has welcomed dozens of new businesses to North Charleston, grown to over 200 members, hosted countless events, and partnered with the Charleston Regional Business Journal to offer the largest networking event in SC for multiple years.

Chamber Standards

The North Charleston Chamber of Commerce is a place where members can come together to learn and network. Chamber Members and guests alike should feel comfortable sharing ideas and information about their businesses without the use of profanity, sexism, racism, or bigotry.

We strive to grow, learn, and profit.

To that end, we expect that each meeting attendee, whether member or guest, will conduct themselves in a professional manner from the initial introduction to the exit.
